Maybe some of you will recognize this little elf girl. I drew her about a year ago [link] as a way to kind of branch out from the z0mgPINK stuff I was doing all the time.
As a print, it outsold ALL of my other prints by 100%, even though artistically it wasn't my best work at all. Fast forward to this week. I'm starting to print up all my posters for Sakuracon (2 weeks!!!) and I debated whether to reprint her... And I decided that since I wasn't as happy with her as I could be, I'd redraw her, and see how people liked her. So here she is again. Same basic concept, more background, more detail, more lighting. I REALLY like how this turned out. You don't think you progress very much, but comparing these two drawings to eachother... I see where I've been, and where I'm going. It's kinda neat. |
